31 Days To Go...

31 days to go!

I can’t believe how quickly the marathon is coming around.

Deciding to compete in the marathon, (the day after the London marathon 2017) seems like yesterday and now it’s literally in a months time...

Pulling my hamstring two months before the marathon wasn’t the best of ideas by me and as a result, I wasn’t able to train for three weeks (although in that time we did see lots of snow and freezing temperatures, so this kind of worked out well).

It is hard getting back into training when you haven’t run for so long and getting that motivation back isn’t easy, I tell ya that!

I am now back running five times a week, avoiding the streets of Elstree and Borehamwood as much as I can and eating more carbs than I’ve eaten in my life.

So, the longest I’ve ran is 11 miles and I think I’m doing alright (well I like to hope so). My longest distance will be on Sunday when I run the London Landmarks half marathon which should be fun, obviously the fun part is weather depending.

After that, another 3 long distance runs to go until the dreaded 26.2 miles 😱.

I will be running the marathon for Kisharon, who provide vital support to hundreds of Jewish children and adults with learning difficulties and their families. I am so close on reaching my target, I would really appreciate any sponsorships.
